Lee SchaferLee was born in Bemidji, Minnesota on April 4, 1946, to Glenn and Ada Schafer. He graduated from Hermiston High School in Oregon in 1964. In 1968 he graduated for Northwest Nazarene College in Nampa.

Lee was a devoted family man who married the love of his life, Beth Coursey, on November 26, 1970. To this union, two children were born: Leigh Ann and David. Some of his favorite times were times with his family.

God gave Lee a passion and a calling for radio broadcasting. At the age of seven, he built his first radio, and at ten he earned his Amateur Radio License. One of his lifetime goals was to own a radio station. His dream came true in 1982 when he and Beth purchased KSPD. Later they bought KBXL in Boise and KDZY in McCall. He took great pleasure in being able to work with his family. His passion was to serve God, and the way he did it was through radio.
